The Missing Issue in the Presidential Campaign? Just one?

Logic?

"Every group of note that has studied the issue of deficits, spending and entitlements, most prominently the report by the commission headed by former Republican senator Alan Simpson and former Clinton White House chief of staff Erskine Bowles, has concluded that a solution must include significant spending cuts and some new revenue. The public agrees."

If that's prominence, then gag me with buffoons!

Shows what the Washington Post knows. Worse, they KNOW what the public is thinking!  How?  Because they said so.
All the rest of you clowns of no note out there? Consider yourself dissed' & dismissed!

Is it Christmas in reply for the 1%, no matter what time of year it is?

[no apologies to Bing Koch Bro's]
"They know what we've all been thinking,
...they know when we've been ignorant,
they know when we've punted or thought, so just punt, for heaven's sake!
***
   [Chorus, verse them]
Oh, you better not think, you better not analyze,
...You better consent, I'm telling you whyz.
POLICY FLAWS! are coming ... to town.
POLICY FLAWS! are coming ... to town.
Policy flaws is sheriff ... IN TOWN!

Bwa, Ha, Ha, Ha!  And a fairy-tale election outcome to all you marks, er .. constituents.

And as the two candidates were whisked away in the same limousine, a tune they were humming, though the words seemed strange.
"Choke off the rights, sweet baby, 'cuz this time it's all the way. hmm, hmm, hmmm"

"Every group of lemmings and hacks that listens to Pete Peterson on the issue of deficits, spending and entitlements has concluded that the economic carnage and usurpation of democracy occurring in Europe is so awesome that we should bring it here to America. The public does what it's told."

This is an amicus brief submitted by David Bossie's Citizen's United on behalf of Dick Cheney defendant vs David Walker (Peterson hack) plaintiff.

http://www.citizensunitedfoundation.com/docs/walkerbrief.pdf

Excerpt: "CGI is a project of Citizens United Foundation (“CUF”), a nonpartisan, non-profit research and education foundation under Section 501(c)(3) of the
Internal Revenue Code. CUF was established in 1992. It is dedicated to informing the
American people about public policy issues which relate to traditional American values,
including: the Constitution as the supreme limit on federal power, a strong national
defense as the primary role of the federal government; free enterprise as the economic
system that has enabled the American people to attain and maintain an historically high
standard of living; belief in God and Judeo/Christian values as the fundamental
underpinning of our way of life
....

Now this from Peterson's wiki page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_George_Peterson

"Peterson commented in 2004: "I remain a Republican, but the Republicans have become a far more theological, faith-directed party, not troubling with evidence."[9]

Uh-oh! Do I detect trouble in paradise?????

Trouble in paradise? Nah. Just a little spat over direction between the Pope & his current alter boy.

Rog,

The hypocrisy is so thick you can cut it with a knife.

GOP elements going with the Peterson Doctrine is the same as GOP Ryan going with the Ayn Rand Doctrine which came up a few weeks ago.

Tom has commented on this. It is in no way compatible with the so-called "Judeo/Christian values".

You can't have Peterson and Jesus.
