John, I think that the operative word is "maybe."
In a matter as serious as elections, especially US elections that influence the whole world, there should be no question of election integrity and there should be fail-safe ways to conduct voting and double-check its accuracy and integrity. Questions remains wrt the US voting system. That's a huge problem.
I completely agree. Although the absolute number of votes affected may be tiny (if any), the very idea that such things could happen is indeed a huge problem. A loss of confidence in the voting system would be, I think, a deadly situation.
