The only thing that I could find on the left was, "The government is running out of money," but in the current context that's only because the House is holding the country hostage.

Alas, you who are longing for the day of the Lord,
For what purpose will the day of the Lord be to you?

It will be darkness and not light;
As when a man flees from a lion
And a bear meets him,
Or goes home, leans his hand against the wall
And a snake bites him.
Will not the day of the Lord be darkness instead of light,
Even gloom with no brightness in it?

“I hate, I reject your festivals,
Nor do I delight in your solemn assemblies.
“Even though you offer up to Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings,
I will not accept them;
And I will not even look at the peace offerings of your fatlings.
“Take away from Me the noise of your songs;
I will not even listen to the sound of your harps.
“But let justice roll down like waters
And righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
Amos 5:18-24 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

See the ammunition you're missing, Franko?

He is talking to Israel thru the prophet Amos who was a prophet to Israel... sorry, none of that has anything to do with me... Its all true I'm sure, it just doesnt have anything to do with me...

My ancestors of the nations were at that time probably busy offering divine service to stone idols, engaging in prostitution, human slavery, bloody warfare, probably other out of control stuff, you name it, no problem...

... as Paul described them "without God in the world" though sometimes "ignorantly devout" ...

Not even Christ in his blood and flesh presence for Israel and dealings with His disciples had anything to directly do with me, here He is just before He refers to perhaps one of my Cainite ancestors as a dog:

"Now He, answering, said, "I was not commissioned except for the lost sheep of the house of Israel." Mat 15:24

All I can say today about that excerpt from the Hebrew scriptures from the prophet Amos you cite here is that it looks like Israel should have heeded the warnings of Amos there... sounds like it would have been a good idea for them to listen to Amos... yup, no argument there...

It has very little if any direct relevance for me here today in "the administration of the grace of God..."

I said it was ammunition.

Christians are to be concerned with JUSTICE, not gleefully awaiting the Rapture while the world goes to hell.

But yeah, your own unconcern with injustice should concern you since:

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’ Matthew 7:21-23 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

F,

Again you are bringing up something that I have nothing to do with ie "the kingdom of heaven"...

Christians are (supposed to be) looking forward to the "kingdom of God"

Its a different kingdom...

Here's Paul on the 'kingdom of God':

"50 Now this I am averring, brethren, that flesh and blood is not able to enjoy an allotment in the kingdom of God," 1 Cor 15:50

Again, I have nothing to directly do with this 'kingdom of heaven' that was the kingdom that John and the Lord heralded to Israel... which was rejected... now here we are...

Wow! A "Christian" who thinks justice only applies to the Old Testament!

Well, I'm reading the New Testament now and you can expect a fierce bombardment from that too!

F,

Paul didnt go all around Greece and Rome opening up a chain of soup kitchens and/or screaming for the Roman authorities to crucify all of their fiscal agents who they utilized in the operation of their state currency system...

You're pathetic, Franko. I've never advocated violence against bankers. You continually distort my position into some easily dismissed stereotype.

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

F,

"12 Now tribute collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to him, "Teacher, what should we be doing?"
13 Now he said to them, "Impose nothing more than has been prescribed to you." Luke 3

John wasnt advising them to "quit your jobs and let the post office do it!" he was telling them to just do it right...

We can certainly have a lawfully established fiscal agent like we currently have in the Federal Reserve System that collects tax balances, disburses govt payments for provision, disburses govt direct xfer payments, and advances balances under lending agreements under strict regulatory arrangements...

we just need to run the system justly and righteously... and not put a bunch of morons who dont even know what the heck is even going on in there to run the thing....
