Good for Miley.
She was ranked number thirteen on Forbes' Celebrity 100 in 2010, and in 2013 was declared "Artist of the Year" by MTV. She has been included on the Time 100 list of most influential people in 2008 and 2014. — Wikipedia
"Influencer."

Good on Ariana Grande for joining in.
In 2016, Time named Grande one of the 100 most influential people in the world on the annual Time 100 list. — Wikipedia
Another influencer.

Miley and Ariana both achieved celebrity at a young age. Now they are using it for positive influence. (The are still under 25.)

Good on Barry Ritholtz for spreading the word.

Ive always thought Ritholz was a good guy.

I remember after the 07 08 crash he did an extensive series debunking the notion that the CRA was the reason for the mortgage crisis. Fox was really pushing the meme that govt forced loans to poor people caused the crash. The Feds data itself didn't support the meme and many Fed officials denied a link but it didn't stop the right wing noise machine from blaming poor black people for the crisis. Ritholz took it apart piece by piece and showed it to be pure bunk...... and of course changed none of the conversation in the RWNM

Yes Greg ... the Fox story was the people who ended up with nothing were the criminals and the people who ended up with billions were the victims. Their viewers believed it because they wanted to believe it.
