It has the added "benefit" of sabotaging Us-Russian détente. Is the US military preempting the president, or is the president speaking with a forked tongue?

Hold hands with Trump, it will make all the difference. We are a social species.

Memo to Assad: Syria is being partitioned. Continue the war at your own risk.

Are there any sane people in Washington? There must be hundreds of politicians really concerned, but they keep quiet. Why aren't the European left politicians speaking out loudly. I've sent PCR's, Are You Ready To Die, to 50 London Conservative politicians and MEP's today. I shall send it to Labour and Lib Dems politicians as well. Are they sleepwalking into this?

Maybe they assume that the logic of MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) remains intact.

Eurasia fears that THAAD negates MAD. But even a modest or one-side nuclear war will have severe global climate consequences as well as other effects.

Fukushima has fallen out of the news but continues to pour radioactivity into the Pacific Ocean at an uncontrollable rate and will for thousands of years. Eventually the entire Pacific - and all the world's oceans - will be a toxic radioactive cesspool. But it probably won't matter because humans will have self-extincted long before that.

I wrote to PCR and asked him if I was doing the right think contacting all these people, explicitly UK conservatives. They don't like him anyway and this might draw even more hostile attention to him. He didn't reply. Later I told him I had sent it to able 30 different politicians and journalists and be thanked me. He gets a lot of emails and doesn't have time to write much.
